Transgender Day of Visibility
Honoring Authenticity, Love, and Acceptance
Today, on Transgender Day of Visibility, I want to take a moment to reflect on something that is at the very heart of who I am and the work that I do: the power of love and acceptance.
Being seen—truly seen—is one of the most powerful experiences we can have as human beings. It’s something I’ve witnessed firsthand through my photography and healing work. There is a magic that happens when someone steps in front of the camera and allows themselves to be vulnerable, to be unapologetically themselves if they are ready. That magic belongs to everyone, and yet, for so many transgender and non-binary individuals, being seen has often come with risk, fear, or rejection. Today is about changing that.
Transgender Day of Visibility is a celebration of courage, authenticity, and self-expression. It’s a reminder that everyone deserves to take up space, to live in their truth, and to be recognized for who they are. It’s about uplifting the voices and experiences of trans folks, honoring their journeys, and creating a world where they feel safe, valued, and celebrated—every day, not just today.
This is also personal for me. I have beautiful humans who are close who are trans and near and dear to my heart. While their stories are theirs to share, I hold them close in my heart today and every day. Seeing them live their truth, despite the challenges they face, only deepens my commitment to creating safe, affirming spaces for all.
As someone who holds love and acceptance as core values, I want to be clear: my space, my work, and my heart are open to you. Whether through photography, coaching, or simple, human connection, I am committed to creating spaces where people of all identities feel seen, honored, and held.
If you are trans, non-binary, or questioning—know that you are valid. You are worthy. You are enough. And you are not alone.
To those who stand as allies, today is a day to celebrate, yes, but also to listen, learn, and take action. Support trans-owned businesses, donate to organizations doing the work, speak up when it matters, and, most importantly, hold space for the people in your life who need it.
In today’s political climate, we must remain vigilant. Policies are constantly shifting, and some directly threaten the rights and safety of trans individuals. When we have the strength, engaging in conversations with those who may not fully understand can be a powerful act of allyship. I know these discussions can be difficult—you are not obligated to have them if it doesn’t feel right. However, when someone is open to learning, and you feel able, we as allies have a responsibility to educate and advocate. Change happens through visibility, meaningful dialogue, and unwavering support. And when someone is unwilling to listen or understand, it is absolutely okay to set boundaries to protect your own well-being.
Visibility matters. Love matters. And together, we create the kind of world where everyone is free to be exactly who they are.
With love and light,
Susie
